My career took its roots while I served as a law clerk for the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, Maryland. It was there that I first saw the true ravages of the opioid epidemic: a father arrested for DUI while taking his prescribed oxycodone, with his young son in the back seat; a psychiatrist recovering from a devastating and traumatic car accident, now fully addicted to opioids, her career abandoned, breaking into shops to steal items to fence to fuel her addiction; a mother watching her son go out the side door, one year ago a star athlete in high school, now going to jail for heroin possession.
I have seen so much of the country since then, first through my work at the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration, then working in private practice representing counties, cities, and states in civil opioid litigation. I have been to large cities and small communities, where the stories are all the same. The suffering now commonplace.
As of yet, I have never seen anyone truly held accountable for the millions of American lives changed, destroyed, or ended due to the greed of a few.
My practice aims to assist those in need, whether seeking justice against the perpetrators of the Opioid Epidemic, guidance navigating labyrinthian state and federal regulations, help recovering money in a personal dispute, or assistance in setting up a small business and drafting effective contracts.
Iām here to help.
